Vendor Events Bring Consultant Success

As a direct selling consultant you have worked hard to build your business and achieve success.  You have streamlined and improved your strategies, and your enthusiasm and passion are more than a dream. Now it is time to take your direct sales business to the next level of vendor events.

Vendor Set Up Tips For Sales Results

The vendor events give the visitor visual overload so it is important to have an attractive table to catch the eye of potential customers, to stop them in their tracks.  This makes it feasible to engage them in conversations about your product line. The right display is necessary to hold the attention of passers-by.  Too many items on your display table or in your booth can look unorganized.  Handmade risers can be made of pieces of wood utilized to raise like items and conserve space.  For a booth, a banner can be inexpensively fashioned from pieces of material with your logo stitched on with colors complimenting your displayed items. The direct sales business lends itself to a hands-on approach, with no limit to creativity.

Direct Selling Leaders Train Team

The vendor event is a great opportunity to train your team. Bring consultants to every event and let them practice and listen to the expert on the showroom floor.

Whether you are a team leader or a party plan consultant, you know the significance of using the right delivery to get your point across.  It is important to create an environment that is conducive to instilling the right desire, letting your potential customer know that she or he is in the right place at the right time, that you have what they want. To start, your vendor table has to be functional and stable and can be very cost-effective.  The best way to begin is with the centerpiece. Many direct selling consultants focus on their product line, overlooking the focal point: the centerpiece.

Even with a limited budget, a centerpiece can be a very elegant display of candles of different sizes, or various shaped and colored bottles which can be picked up at a local thrift or craft store.  A very practical and inexpensive display can be a catalog or list of your products displayed with dried flowers in a basket.  Passers-by will get a treat from your direct sales business with inexpensive little tidbits of edibles, such as small pieces of chocolate or small bite-size veggies attractively displayed in wicker baskets.  And what about drawing from nature and gathering up rustic branches, flowers, wild berries, flowers, pine cones or other types of natural materials found in your area?  You may even find that any type of sliced fruit cleverly displayed in tall clear vases filled with water and flowers will spark a conversation as potential customers look over your vendor table.

Visual appeal and budget do not have to be mutually exclusive, in fact they can go hand-in-hand as you network and continue to grow your business.

Vendor Training For Direct Selling Success

Organize Your Direct Sales Business With 3-Ring Binders

direct sales marketing

Whether you’re a direct sales consultant or a direct sales business owner, the chances are high that you could benefit from increased organization and order. You can simplify every aspect of your direct sales business, from party planning and coordination right on down to the simple things like tracking orders, inventory and important dates. Better still, 3-ring binders are easily accessible and incredibly affordable, making them a boon to businesses with any budget. So, the next time school supplies go on sale, be sure to stock up on three ring binders that you can put to the following practical uses:

Direct Sales Party

The devil is in the details! Dedicate one 3-ring notebook or binder to every single direct sales party you throw. Designate a page to the hostess, bookers, attendees, purchases that were made, pictures, recipes and menu items, games that were played and other details. One binder per party is a great way to know exactly how things turned out.

Home Office Deduction

The home office deduction is a benefit to every home business consultant. Add to your accounting acumen. If your direct sales business struggles in the arena of accounting, 3-ring binders can help you stay on top of things long before tax time rolls around. Simply designate one notebook for the income tax expenses then one tab to each month in the year and carefully track and log your receipts, invoices, bills paid and other pertinent money-related matters in your career as a direct sales consultant or territory manager.

Create a powerful product library. When it comes to your direct selling business, you should devote some of your time to gathering stories, testimonials, product descriptions, highlights or anything else that could be used in a promotional format to boost your businesses sales and success.

Recruit Tracking

Keep track of your new recruits and all of those who sell under you through clever 3-ring binder usage. Devote one binder to each person who is booking and throwing parties for you. This can help you provide them with suggestions, training materials, sales reports and other things that can help them regularly boost their performance.

If you have a few suggestions on great ways that you’ve used three-ring binders to help you succeed as a direct sales consultant, we’d love to hear about them! Leave your experiences below as a comment to help encourage others on great ways to get organized and simplified in the home office.

Direct Selling Consultant’s Office on the Go

Direct Selling Marketing

The direct selling distributor who makes a plan to market business everywhere should have an office on-th-go. Distributors who help others with tips will achieve success.

Direct Selling Office

One beauty of striking out as a direct selling consultant is working out of your home in the proverbial home-based office. Not only are you free from the traditional boss, clocking in, office politics and rush hour traffic, you can also work out of your own home, close to your family, with the ability to do things your way. However, it’s essential that you don’t let all of that freedom go to your head. Despite the fact that you get to fire your boss and work from home, the operative word here is “work.” Without a designated office area, not only are you missing out on a potential tax deduction, you also run the risk that your business won’t be taken seriously – not only by others, but by yourself as well. This is why one of the most critical direct selling tips you’ll get is the one that focuses on organizing and outfitting your direct sales consulting home office area. However, while much of your business is operated as a home-based business, as a home party planning consultant, much of what you do will happen away from home.

Distributor “On the Go” Office

As a direct selling distributor, a great deal of your business will be conducted “on the go”. So, while having a fully-functional home-based office is of the utmost importance, one of the direct selling tips you should never underestimate is the essential nature of your mobile office. Fortunately, the technology explosion has made it all the easier to maintain a fully-functional, high-tech office on the go without having to go totally broke in the process. Between affordable laptops and netbooks, ebook readers, cell phones complete with projector display capabilities and wireless internet availability just about anywhere, there’s no reason that you can’t have a state-of-the-art office anywhere you go.

Take some time out to make a list of the absolute essentials and then decide how much you can afford to spend. While new technology comes with the benefit of warranties and other similar protections against risk, buying used computers, laptops and other high-tech equipment can cut down on costs considerably. If cash flow is the biggest impediment to your technology budget, financing is always an option, but you should carefully consider the interest rate you will be charged, the total pay-off cost and how much each item will depreciate once purchased.

Once you’ve narrowed down exactly what you need, take time to get it all organized using totes, briefcases and/or crates that will easily fit into your trunk or backseat. After all, it’s not just having the items you need for your office on the go, but also being able to easily access them when in need!

When a direct selling consultant is organized, plans ahead and is able and willing to market everywhere they go, then they will reach their goals and achieve success. Learn more direct selling tips:

Find Home Party Plan Business Bookings!

Party Plan Consultants Find Bookings

The most often asked for seminar topic that I receive is how to find bookings for party plan consultants. Since the party plan business model is based on booking shows at the home party, it is essential that the consultant have a solid show schedule to keep business rolling along. The business model in itself is extremely effective as is evident by the huge number of party plan companies that there are.
The party plan system can be a downfall in itself since most new consultants come in to their business expecting to ask their friends and family to host the first few shows, then the business will self-perpetuate.

Home Party Business Can’t Depend On Friends

You can not build a business on friends. Judging by the many requests I get for training on home party business bookings, most distributors cannot find bookings and end up quitting in frustration. The party plan theory is valid. A party plan business can roll along forever based on shows scheduled at the show. Unfortunately this does not happen for the majority of consultants just starting out or even with time. When new consultants first start, they rely only on family and friends to get started. This is not the way to start a business. The corporate offices of the majority of party plan companies should put more focus on teaching their consultants how to book a solid show schedule from a wide variety of lead sources. After setting up a show schedule that is full and the rep is performing shows at the desired level for 4-6 months, then the party plan model of booking future shows at your shows will start to work.

Find Direct Selling Bookings

When party plan consultants use every source available to them of finding bookings and filling their calendar with shows, they will be able to have unlimited bookings. There really are unlimited booking opportunities for party plan consultants to use.  Sources for finding business leads should include:

The list can go on forever! The point is that there are plenty of party plan bookings.  Most party plan reps are just not using all of the opportunities to find business that are available to them.
